Tulip Poplar Seed Necklace

This piece began as something I found on a walk through Northern New Jersey—a small, beautifully shaped fragment I couldn’t quite place. I cast it and worked with the form for years, until one day an 8-year-old told me exactly what it was: a tulip poplar seed, like the ones from his grandpa’s yard. I looked it up… and he was right.

Now preserved in metal, the pendant keeps the original shape and texture of that found piece—organic, a little mysterious, and rooted in a real moment.
